GAMC confirms second term for Linda Valentine
MINNEAPOLIS
With a unanimous shout of “Amen!” the 219th General Assembly ratified a second four-year term for Linda Bryant Valentine to serve as executive director of the General Assembly Mission Council (GAMC).
While nominating Valentine to the Assembly, Julia Henderson, moderator of the Mission Coordination Committee, noted the committee’s unanimous recommendation to approve Valentine, echoing the GAMC’s unanimous recommendation of last February.
Accepting the Assembly’s faith in her with thanks, Valentine noted her “great joy and privilege to serve the church.”
